In this webpage,I have decided to review some popular e-mail addresses in order to find out which one is best.The ratings I award will depend on the following attributes:
  1. Accessibility
  2. Speed
  3. Size
  4. Appearance
  5. Layout
  6. Facilities

Yahoo is one of the most popular e-mail addresses available. Huge in America, it is becoming increasingly popular in europe and Asia too.This is possibly the fastest site available, which is handy for people on the go. It is however impeded by its 3MB storage area,which is insufficient for large images or movie clips.Yahoo is well laid out and comes as first nature after only a few minutes.It is colourful and has standard features like an address book and numerous folders,but what more do you want?

Hotmail is another popular site, more in europe than anywhere else though.It is the official mail for corporate giants Microsoft.Closely similar to yahoo, this site is fast and accessable.It looks nice and has features similar to yahoo, but including the new Hotmail Messenger.But what really kills off this site is that it only holds a tiny 2MB which is not acceptable for pictures.

Again this site is big in America but is not known well elsewhere.If you were to compare e-mail addresses to newspapers then this would be a politically correct broadsheet.It is more suitable for companies and firms than ordinary people but holds a staggering 8MB which is more than enough for anyone. Its downside is its speed. Its not as fast as yahoo or hotmail but has new features like an organiser and a spamguard. A great all-rounder.

This site is suitable for people who enjoy a luagh.One joke per day is delivered to the 3MB box. Being more suitable for kids, this site only has the bare essentials:address book etc.Jokes.com is slow and hard to get used to.However it looks good and is promising. If the speed of this site were increased then Im sure it would more popular.

This site is dedicated to all the dedicated fans of video games. Despite being quite slow, this site is well laid out and very easy to get to grips with. It has a generous storage area of 6MB;twice that of the most popular site, yahoo.The mail site is closly linked to cheatplanet.com which caters fot the cheating needs of the average gamer. Looks good with easy access.

Verdict:7.5/10

This is probably the slowest site available but nonetheless a popular one. Excite.com is presented well and has standard facilities but only has 3MB of storage area. This site is again similar to yahoo in the sense of facilities, looks and layout, but suffers at the hands of accessability and speed.

Verdict:4/10

Amazon was originally intended as a site to sell books online, but as the concept of communication over the net grew, it has come to cater for the e-mail needs of bookworms. This is, without doubt, the most average site available.With 3MB of space and mundane accessories, it can only be described as benal, but sturdy nevertheless.

Verdict:6/10
